EMBRACE FAMILY PLANNING EXPERT CHARGES COUPLES AND ADULT PARTNERS- Mrs. Ololade Abatan

 It has been observed that family planning reduces the risk of women mortality and helps mothers birth healthy children. An official of the family planning unit, Osun state ministry of health, Mrs. Ololade Abatan made the observation when she featured on a radio programme. According to Mrs. Abatan, the concept of family planning being a medical procedure allows intentional spacing of child births among couples without permanently halting child birth. The health official said contrary to believe of some persons that family planning concerns only the womenfolk, men can also do it, admonishing them to give adequate support for their partners. She highlighted some of the family methods to include; use of condoms, tablets and injection. While calling for proper sensitization on the importance of family planning, Mrs Abatan appealed to husbands to support their wives in whatever family planning method of their choice in order to promote safe and healthy living.

The Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund (SCSF) provides individual grants ranging from $1,500 to $2,500 to every student who qualifies and reapplies yearly, from admission to graduation. The grant can be used to cover tuition expenses and related supplemental educational expenses such as books, lab fees, travel and select costs of living.
