Chevron Nigeria is recruiting experienced graduates and Professionals into two major Positions. Please click to read details and apply before March 28

Chevron is one of the world's leading integrated energy companies and conducts business worldwide. They are involved in virtually every facet of the energy industry. They explore for, produce and transport crude oil and natural gas; refine, market and distribute transportation fuels and lubricants; manufacture and sell petrochemical products; generate power and produce geothermal energy; provide energy efficiency solutions; and develop the energy resources of the future, including research for advanced biofuels.
The trace of Chevron beginnings to an 1879 oil discovery at Pico Canyon, north of Los Angeles, which led to the formation of the Pacific Coast Oil Co. That company later became Standard Oil Co. of California and, subsequently, Chevron. We took on the name Chevron when we acquired Gulf Oil Corporation in 1984, nearly doubling our worldwide proved crude oil and natural gas reserves. Our merger with Gulf was then the largest in U.S. history.

Another major branch of the family tree is The Texas Fuel Company, formed in Beaumont, Texas, in 1901. It later became known as The Texas Company and, eventually, Texaco. In 2001, our two companies merged. The acquisition of Unocal Corporation in 2005 strengthened Chevron's position as an energy industry leader, increasing our crude oil and natural gas assets around the world.
The company has a long, robust history, which began when a group of explorers and merchants established the Pacific Coast Oil Co. on Sept. 10, 1879. Since then, The company's name has changed more than once, but we've always retained our founders' spirit, grit, innovation and perseverance.

Over the years, they joined with other companies, each with their own history, strengths and character. They've grown from a San Francisco-based company with a five-state market in the Western United States to a major corporation whose subsidiaries conduct business worldwide. Throughout, we've retained our fundamental purpose: to provide the energy people need to fuel human progress.

Chevron is the third-largest oil producer in Nigeria and one of its largest investors, spending more than $3 billion annually.

The company operates under a joint-venture arrangement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and has assets on land, swamp and near-offshore concessions covering approximately 2.2 million acres (8,900 sq km) in the Niger Delta region.

Chevron also has extensive interests in deepwater Nigeria. The Agbami Field is one of Nigeria's largest deepwater discoveries. The company also has an interest in another deepwater development, the Usan project.

Chevron provides career opportunities for Nigerians hired as employees and workers who are under contract.

Chevron in Nigeria

Come be a part of a dynamic team in one of Chevron's largest exploration and production companies and one of Africa's most prolific oil-producing countries.

Chevron has been active in Nigeria since 1913, when legacy company Texaco products were first brought to the market. As Texaco Overseas (Nigeria) Petroleum Co. (TOPCON) and later Chevron Nigeria Ltd. (CNL), the company discovered Nigeria's first offshore oil fields in 1963-the Koluama and Okan fields.

In 1997 CNL started the Escravos Gas Project (EGP), the nation's first major project to gather and process natural gas. Continuing the search for offshore oil, CNL discovered the Agbami field in 1999 and uncovered potential recoverable resources of 900 million barrels of oil equivalent, Nigeria's largest ever deepwater discovery.

Today Chevron has the largest acreage position in deepwater offshore Nigeria. CNL is expanding rapidly and investing significant capital to drive long-term production growth in Deepwater and Gas, as well as other base businesses. At the same time, Chevron is committed to actively promoting a safe and healthy environment.

Nigerian Airforce Application for Direct Short Service Course 22 2013 for Exprienced Graduates and Post Graduates, HND Holders into Nigerian Air Force, Please Click to Read more Details to Apply for Desired Position, Closes on 30 September, 2013

The origin of the Nigerian Armed Forces dates back to 1863 when the Hausa Constabulary was formed by the British. The Constabulary metamorphosed into the West Africa Frontier Force (WAFF) and then the Nigerian Regiment in 1956. It was then completely a land-based force. Later, the need to protect and patrol the Nigerian coastline and its resources led to the creation of the Nigerian Navy in 1956. These were the components of the Nigerian Armed Forces till 1962 when the idea of establishing an air force for Nigeria was first muted. The idea was triggered by the difficulties encountered when the country was called upon to participate in 2 foreign military operations in war-torn Republic of Congo in the early 1960s and to quell military insurrections in Tanganyika (now Tanzania) in 1959. These missions saw Nigeria relying on civil aircraft or foreign air forces to convey her men and logistics to the theatre of conflict. Consequently, the establishment of a Nigerian Air Force was accepte...
