No more corruption, No more Boko Haram, No more self ingratiation, no more tribal sentiments and over Self-consciousness but we will stand as a Nation #Nigeria to establish our Rights and fundamentals for a Great Nation #Nigeria
with good roads, quality education, good water, stable electricity, better transportation system, Renewable energy, stabilize and better economy, better Policy and control measures, free and open media. Improved Technology and information, appreciation and standardization of our Cultural traits and Local language contents.

Together we will sing as a Nation
Arise, O compatriots, Nigeria's call obey
To serve our fatherland
With love and strength and faith
The labour of our heroes past
Shall never be in vain
To serve with heart and might
One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity.
Oh God of creation, direct our noble cause
Guide our leaders right
Help our youth the truth to know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true
Great lofty heights attain
To build a nation where peace and justice shall reign.

and Pledge to Nigeria our country
To be faithful, loyal and honest
To serve Nigeria with all my strength

The origin of the Nigerian Armed Forces dates back to 1863 when the Hausa Constabulary was formed by the British. The Constabulary metamorphosed into the West Africa Frontier Force (WAFF) and then the Nigerian Regiment in 1956. It was then completely a land-based force. Later, the need to protect and patrol the Nigerian coastline and its resources led to the creation of the Nigerian Navy in 1956. These were the components of the Nigerian Armed Forces till 1962 when the idea of establishing an air force for Nigeria was first muted. The idea was triggered by the difficulties encountered when the country was called upon to participate in 2 foreign military operations in war-torn Republic of Congo in the early 1960s and to quell military insurrections in Tanganyika (now Tanzania) in 1959.
